Forest Hills believes that the arts are one of the major ways individuals discover and communicate; providing a record of the past, an interpretation of the present and a vision of the future. The FHSD arts curriculum includes perception, response, knowledge, creation, evaluation, technical and technological skills. By creating original works of art, students develop their artistic and cognitive abilities and gain a healthy sense of self-esteem that is essential to the growth of the human spirit. In addition, students learn about world cultures and history by studying past and present works of art.
