Forest Hills School District is once again the recipient of a prestigious recognition from the Ohio PBIS Network. This is the third year in a row that FHSD received district recognition for its work involving Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. Only 15 other school districts in the entire state were recognized in this area for the 2021-22 school year.

“The intentionality of our PBIS work within each of our buildings continues to strengthen each year and we are so proud of the steadfast commitment and exemplary dedication to PBIS within our district,” said Kelley Brazeau, FHSD’s Director of Student Services and Wellness. “Congratulations to our students and staff for this well deserved recognition.”

Notably, Ayer Elementary School, Nagel Middle School and Anderson High School were awarded bronze recognitions and Maddux Elementary School, Wilson Elementary School and Turpin High School each received gold recognitions for their success in implementing an effective, evidenced based PBIS framework within their own buildings.

PBIS is a preventative and systematic approach that emphasizes the high-quality implementation of evidence-based practices, use of data-based decision-making and organization of supports to help all students experience success. PBIS has been shown to improve student achievement, student behavior and school climate.

PBIS, as part of an intentional approach by FHSD schools, can help create positive and safe learning environments for students and staff to excel. You can learn more about the PBIS model by clicking here.

Forest Hills will be honored at the 2022 OLAC and PBIS Showcase during a virtual conference on December 6, 2022.

The theme for the conference is All in For Ohio’s Schools, Students & Communities. The event is FREE to all who register.
