New and Familiar Faces Make Up Significant Administrative Changes

The 2022-2023 school year will bring a handful of new faces to administrative roles in Forest Hills School District, along with some familiar friends stepping up into new positions.

Larry Hook

LARRY HOOK, FOREST HILLS SCHOOL DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT

The Board of Education selected Larry Hook to serve as superintendent beginning in the 2022-2023 school year. Mr. Hook was chosen after a rigorous interview process and stood out among a competitive pool of candidates. He brings nearly 30 years of administrative experience, previously serving as superintendent at Springboro Community City Schools, among other positions.Larry Hook, Superintendent

ELEMENTARY

Joy O'Brien

JOY O’BRIEN, MADDUX ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL

Joy O’Brien is taking over as principal at Maddux Elementary School. She’s been with Forest Hills for 14 years, originally teaching Social Studies at Nagel Middle School before becoming Assistant Principal at Nagel as well as both Mercer and Ayer Elementary Schools. Ms. O’Brien was teaching at Nagel when she brought her children into this school district. Both of her boys attended Ayer Elementary as well as Nagel Middle School.

ERICKA THOMPSON, AYER ELEMENTARY ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Ericka Thompson will transition from an Elementary Learning Design Specialist to Assistant Principal at Ayer Elementary School for the 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. Thompson has been with the district since 2004 and worked as an elementary teacher before becoming a Learning Design Specialist. She was recently honored as the 2022 Outstanding Central Office Administrator in the state by the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators!

Matt Heredia

MATT HEREDIA, SUMMIT ELEMENTARY ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Matt Heredia will join the team at Summit Elementary School as Assistant Principal. A resident of Anderson Township and proud father of two future FHSD students, Mr. Heredia is invested in our community and is already working to make it a great place to live and learn. He has eleven years of teaching experience, most of which has been at the elementary level, including six years teaching at Wilson Elementary School in our district. This past year he took on a new role as the Innovation Specialist at Nagel Middle School where he helped support cutting edge educational programs.

Forest Hills School District is excited to bring in a few new people to leadership roles at Nagel Middle School, where they are well positioned to support student growth and learning.

Tiffany Brennan

TIFFANY BRENNAN, NAGEL MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

A lifelong resident of Anderson Township and proud product of the Forest Hills School District, Tiffany Brennan is “all in” for our students and our community. She will serve as Principal of Nagel Middle School, bringing fifteen years of outstanding administrative experience, most of which are specific to this age group. She has served as the Principal of Rapid Run Middle School in Oak Hills, the Principal of Wyoming Middle School and was positioned most recently to assume the role of Principal of West Clermont Middle School.

JACKIE REVERMAN, NAGEL MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

We are thrilled to announce that Jackie Reverman will join our team at Nagel Middle School as one of our newest Assistant Principals in August! Ms. Reverman is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Middle School Education. She has fifteen years of teaching and administrative experience at the middle school level, most recently at White Oak Middle School in the Northwest School District, where she served as the Dean of Students.

Dave Caldwell

DAVE CALDWELL, NAGEL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Nagel Middle School is excited to announce Dave Caldwell as one of its newest Assistant Principals. Mr. Caldwell was born and raised on the East Side of Cincinnati and graduated from St. Xavier High School before attending Wittenberg University. After college, he taught at Glen Este High School and Colerain High School. He also served as the Assistant Principal at Colerain Middle School for two years. Mr. Caldwell is passionate about working alongside students, teachers and parents and we are excited to have him in Forest Hills!

ZACH MCCORMICK, NAGEL MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

The new Athletic Director for Nagel Middle School will be Turpin alumnus Zach McCormick. Mr. McCormick graduated from Turpin in 2014 and completed his B.S. in Sports Leadership Management at Miami University. He spent two years as the Assistant Athletic Director under the direction of Chris “Newt” Newton, at Anderson High School.  There, he oversaw daily sports operations and the coordination of administrative responsibilities within the Athletic Department. Mr. McCormick just finished his first year as Assistant Athletic Director at West Clermont High School. After three years as a full-time Assistant AD at the high school level, he is ready to take the lead as Nagel’s Athletic Director.
