Nagel, Anderson and Turpin Orchestra Students Take the Stage at Taft Theatre

Members of the orchestras at Nagel Middle School, Anderson High School and Turpin High School performed alongside the internationally-known music group The Piano Guys. These students were selected after a competitive audition process that took place during the Fall 2022 semester and were able to put their talents on display at the renowned Taft Theatre.
"They were nervous and excited, yet still confident, musical and poised on stage," said orchestra teacher Jessica Cox.
The Piano Guys is a music group famous for their fusion of classical and pop music as well as some amazing YouTube video performances. Their videos have more than 2 billion views combined.
Congratulations to the following students who were selected to perform:
- Matthew Carpenter (THS, 12th grade)
- Maureen Carpenter (THS, 10th grade)
- Kathryn Dillman (THS, ninth grade)
- Caitlin Hartley (AHS, 11th grade)
- Maho Ito (THS, 12th grade)
- Evelyn Kunkel (AHS, 10th grade)
- Ella Shadix (NMS, eighth grade)
- Joshua Yamaguchi (THS, 11th grade)
- Drew Vest (AHS Class of 2023) was selected last year, but has since graduated.
