Mercer Elementary Teacher Honored as Finalist for National Award
Erinn Cox, 6th Grade Teacher at Mercer Elementary, has been recognized as a finalist for the prestigious Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) for grades K-6. This remarkable achievement highlights her exceptional contributions and commitment to STEM education. Mrs. Cox’s recognition was celebrated during a luncheon at the Ohio Statehouse on Saturday, November 16, where she was honored as an outstanding STEM educator.
PAEMST is the highest honor in the nation for math and science teachers. It recognizes educators for teaching excellence, their contributions to instruction and learning, and their ability to inspire progress and success within students. Finalists and awardees are selected for their leadership and exemplary work in math and science education.
Forest Hills School District is incredibly proud of Mrs. Cox and the lasting impact she has on her students, colleagues and STEM education.
