January Parent Academy Topics Announced

After a successful and well-attended inaugural Parent Academy Night in November, Forest Hills School District is excited to announce the schedule of sessions for our second Parent Academy Night on Tuesday, January 24, 2023!

The FHSD Teaching and Learning Team used feedback from people who attended the first evening to guide the topics and programming being offered later this month. Some of the sessions include tips and tricks for parents and guardians to better understand math, reading and other lessons at the elementary level; internship, shadowing and workshop opportunities for high school students; a roundtable discussion about the middle school experience; and multiple sessions that can be applied across all age groups including “Tips to Overcome Anxiety,” “How Trauma Impacts Children,” and informative sessions about Google tools students use in the classroom.

Parent Academy Night will be held at Nagel Middle School from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24 and we hope you will be able to join us! For more information about this fun evening of collaboration and learning, please click the links below:

Additional parent academy nights, which will be updated with new and different session topics, are scheduled for February 21 and March 20.
