The Forest Hills Foundation for Education and Forest Hills School District went ALL IN and shattered the record in this year's collection drive benefiting IPM Food Pantry. The roughly 12,000 pounds of food and personal care items donated by students, families, and community members is the MOST ever collected in 10 years of hosting this donation drive. Our generous community also contributed $12,000, which equals an additional 36,000 meals. That’s a grand total of 50,000 meals to share with those in need.

The pandemic continues to impact individuals and families, plus the rising cost of groceries means the need is greater than ever. “IPM provided groceries, including fresh produce, dairy and eggs, for over 20,000 household visits last year,” shared Alida Hart, president and CEO of IPM. “And the number keeps growing! We couldn’t serve our neighbors in need without the generosity of our Forest Hills community. Thank you all for making a difference for families struggling with food insecurity.”

The Forest Hills community came together for a record-breaking collection drive. Anderson High School freshmen continued their day of service tradition by assembling Power Packs of snacks for students to take home over the weekend. Elementary and middle school students made posters, packed boxes, and loaded the truck. The Foundation was proud to partner with the local businesses who donated; Biggby Coffee, Burn Bootcamp, Rapid Mortgage Company and The UPS Store. Many parents, staff, and volunteers gave their time and resources. The Forest Hills Foundation for Education is proud to partner with IPM and the Forest Hills’ students, teachers, and volunteers to feed families and nourish souls.
