FHSD Receives Ohio Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports District Recognition

Nov 5, 2021

Forest Hills School District has received district-wide recognition for success in our buildings with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).  The FHSD Board of Education recognized and congratulated staff on the achievement during the board's regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, October 25, 2021.

PBIS is a preventative and systematic approach that emphasizes the high-quality implementation of evidence-based practices, use of data for decision making and organization of support to assist all students with meeting school expectations and with achieving success.

PBIS has been shown to improve student achievement, student behavior and school climate. Last Spring, the Forest Hill School District applied for and earned recognition at the district level in the state of Ohio. FHSD is one of only 17 Ohio districts to be recognized at this level of distinction. Forest Hills will be honored at the 2021 Ohio PBIS Showcase in conjunction with the Ohio Leadership Advisory Council (OLAC) on December 9, 2021, at a virtual conference event.

The theme for the conference is Responsive Reimagined, and Resilient Leadership.  The event is FREE to all who register. For more information about the virtual event, please go to the link for the 2021 OLDAC and PBIS Showcase.
