FHSD Hosts Informational Session for College Credit Plus
FHSD will be hosting an informational session about College Credit Plus (CCP) to help families navigate the enrollment process for the 2024-2025 school year. There will also be representatives from the University of Cincinnati to answer questions. This event will be on Wednesday, January 24 from 6:35-7:45 p.m. at Nagel Middle School as part of Parent Academy Night.
CCP is a dual enrollment program for students to take courses and earn both high school and college credit. These college-level courses are taught by college professors, so students can expect a more rigorous academic experience. This is an excellent opportunity for students to challenge themselves in their studies and get a head start on their college education.
FHSD strives to provide students with opportunities that advance their studies and prepare them for post-grad life. CCP gives students access to college-level classes that may not be offered at their school. Any student who feels prepared to take a more challenging course should consider participating.
The program is offered at no extra cost to students and families. Any student in grades 7-12 who qualifies may participate in the program. They can take classes on a college campus or online whenever college courses are offered–which includes the summer.
For more information about CCP, please visit the grades 9-12 resource page on the FHSD website. If you are unable to attend the informational session on January 24, contact your child’s counselor to learn more about the enrollment process.
