FHSD Board of Education Appoints Mark Bell to Board Vacancy

The Forest Hills School District Board of Education held a Special Meeting Saturday, March 22, 2025 to review candidates and select an individual to be appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board. Board President Bob Bibb shared the following message with all FHSD families and staff members after the meeting concluded.
Dear Forest Hills Families and Staff,
The FHSD Board of Education has been working diligently to review candidates and select the best possible individual to fill the current vacancy on our Board. I am proud of how the Board worked collaboratively to fulfill this important duty of our office.
I am excited to share that the Board voted unanimously to appoint Mark Bell to the Board during a Special Meeting earlier today. Mr. Bell is a Certified Public Accountant and currently teaches classes on governmental and not-for-profit accounting at the University of Cincinnati. His three children have all attended school in FHSD, and Mr. Bell has been involved as a parent volunteer, including previously serving as treasurer of the Turpin Athletic Boosters, over the course of their educational careers.
The Board selected Mr. Bell out of an impressive field of 29 candidates, and we are grateful that so many individuals expressed their interest in serving our community in this role. FHSD is such a strong community because of the passion and involvement of our residents.
Mr. Bell replaces Katie Stewart, who resigned earlier this month, and Mr. Bell will serve the remainder of her term through December 31, 2025. Mr. Bell will be sworn in at an upcoming Board of Education meeting.
The Board looks forward to welcoming Mr. Bell into this position and working together to serve our community, support our staff members and empower each student to achieve personal success every day.
Sincerely
Bob Bibb
FHSD Board of Education President
