FHSD Announces Final Parent Academy Topics for 2022-2023
After several successful and well-attended Parent Academy Nights this school year, Forest Hills School District is excited to announce the schedule of sessions for our final Parent Academy Night on Monday, March 20, 2023!
This event will include a keynote presentation from Superintendent Larry Hook on The Performance Pathway approach to leadership. Leaders create culture. Culture drives behavior. Behavior produces results.
The FHSD Teaching and Learning Team used feedback from people who attended previous sessions to guide the topics and programming being offered later this month. Some of the sessions include navigating the college financial process, mental health and tech/social media support for adolescents, reading comprehension for grades 2-4 and a lot more!
Part of the March Parent Academy night involves an information session for current 6th grade parents and guardians to learn more about Nagel Middle School, the scheduling process and other important topics before becoming a Nighthawk next year.
This evening also includes a student-only session for the Community Partnership Workshop: “Who are the People in Your Neighborhood?” This session is for high schoolers only. We hope parents and guardians can come enjoy the other available sessions while their student meets local professionals in our community in a conversation to discuss topics like skills, training and education needed to obtain and maintain employment in a variety of fields.
Parent Academy Night will be held at Nagel Middle School from 6:30-8:15 p.m. on Monday, March 20 and we hope you will be able to join us! For more information about this fun evening of collaboration and learning, please click the links below:
