FHSD ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR TEACHER OF THE YEAR!

Nominations for Outstanding FHSD Educators

Forest Hills students, teachers, parents and other community members are encouraged to nominate a Forest Hills educator for the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year award! The award recognizes achievements of outstanding teachers within the district. Due to COVID-19, last year’s teachers were not able to participate in the annual recognition ceremony; therefore, the Chamber will recognize one teacher after nominations are received.

Characteristics of a teacher award recipient might include, but are not limited to, a high commitment towards student achievement, strong leadership skills that motivate students, making a positive difference, creative and innovative teaching practices, and continuous personal and professional development.

Nomination forms for Teacher of the Year will be accepted through September 10, 2021 and are attached.  For eligibility, nominations must include the form and be 500 words or less. Completed nomination forms should be sent to: Teacher Awards, attn: Angela Ingram, 7946 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45255. Nominations may also be emailed to angelaingram@foresthills.edu with “Teacher Awards” in the subject line. 

At a recognition celebration this coming Fall, one individual will receive the Teacher of the Year award and the three students who received scholarships during the 20-21 school year will also be recognized. Business and civic leaders throughout the community will honor the recipients during a celebration dinner on October 5, 2021 at the Anderson Township Government Building, 7850 Five Mile Road.
