Board of Education Welcomes New Members, Sets Meeting Schedule for 2024

The Forest Hills School District Board of Education met on Thursday, January 4, 2024, for its organizational meeting and annual budget hearing. Two newly elected board members were welcomed into their roles, and the Board established positions for members and set the schedule for regular meetings in 2024.

Board Members Jason Simmons and Wendy Strickler took their oath of office and joined the FHSD Board of Education for their respective four-year terms. The Board elected Member Sara Jonas to serve as the Board’s president for 2024 and Member Katie Stewart to serve as vice president. To view the full meeting agenda, please click here.

School Board Recognition Month

January is School Board Recognition Month in Ohio. FHSD is grateful for the five board members who have decided to dedicate their time and efforts in service to the community. This is an important role in all public school districts, and FHSD thanks the members for their commitment to students, staff and all of Anderson Township and the Village of Newtown.

The Board of Education approved the following schedule for regular meetings in 2024.
