Anderson High School Student Achieves Perfect ACT Score

Anderson High School junior Andrew D. Moulas earned the highest possible ACT composite score of 36. Only two-tenths of 1 percent of students who take the ACT earn a top score. In the United States high school graduating class of 2018, only 3,741 out of more than 1.9 million graduates who took the ACT earned a top composite score of 36.

"We are ecstatic for Andrew to receive such validation of his incredible work ethic and devotion to academics,” said Anderson High School Principal Rob Fellows. “He's a fantastic, well-rounded young man who has been involved in a number of different activities including Marching Band and Link Crew, our freshmen mentoring program. We are grateful to have Andrew as a leader and student at Anderson High School and look forward to hearing about all the great things he'll be doing in the coming years,” added Fellows.

The ACT consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science, each scored on a scale of 1-36. A student’s composite score is the average of the four test scores. ACT scores are accepted by all major four-year colleges and universities across the United States.
