Anderson and Turpin Students Excel in Educators Rising State Conference
Anderson and Turpin High School students in the Educators Rising program collected numerous accolades at the 2024 Educators Rising Ohio State Conference. Each student who competed from Anderson Teacher Academy finished at least in the top 10 of their respective competitions. Additionally, Turpin Teaching Professions Academy was recognized as an Honors Chapter, which means students in the chapter participate in school events and community service, collectively maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher and participated in the Ed Rising Ohio Service Project.
FHSD high school students aspiring to break into the teaching profession can participate in Educators Rising. This extra-curricular coincides with the students’ enrollment in Teaching Professions Academy. Students have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience and cultivate skills needed to be successful educators. They compete at state and national levels in areas such as lesson planning, public speaking, researching learning disabilities and more. The 2024 Ed Rising Conference was an opportunity for students in this program to demonstrate their skills and compete at the state level. Students who place in the top 10 of their category qualify for nationals.
Many Anderson and Turpin students had an outstanding showing at the conference. We would like to congratulate the following students for the recognition they have earned for their projects:
