Anderson and Turpin High Schools have both been listed as Gold on the 2023 AP School Honor Roll. This distinction recognizes schools’ efforts to promote college attendance, provide college credit and enhance college readiness. Recognition from the College Board’s AP School Honor Roll is a testament to the hard work and talent of our students and staff.

To qualify for the AP School Honor Roll, schools must meet criteria based on the relationship between student outcomes in AP and in postsecondary school. As such, the criteria are rooted in college culture, college credit and college optimization using data from the most recent graduating high school class.

At least 40 percent of the graduating class must have taken at least one AP Exam during high school. At least 25 percent must have scored a 3 or higher on at least one AP Exam. Finally, two percent or more of the graduating class must have taken at least five AP Exams during high school with at least one of those taken during ninth or 10th grade.

Other requirements include having full-time 12th grade enrollment and being located in the United States or Canada.
