AHS parking lot plan to maximize student parking approved by township

On December 5th, the Anderson Township Board of Zoning Appeals approved the Forest Hills School District plan to finalize the southern section of student parking at Anderson High School. This lot was previously utilized by the transportation department.

Current township zoning requires an island every 10 parking spots. FHSD requested a variance to eliminate the requirement for the district to include islands, thus maximizing student parking and reducing costs. The variance was approved.

The only addition will be end caps at each row to control the flow of traffic.

This work is scheduled to take place this summer.
