Randy Smith began his second consecutive term on the Board of Education in 2008. Randy has served as Board President, Board Vice President and Legislative Liaison. He is also the board representative to the Forest Hills Foundation for Education.
A graduate of Anderson High School, Randy received bachelor degrees in marketing, management and industrial engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He attended the UC CCM masters program in broadcasting. Randy has been with Procter & Gamble since 1979 where he worked in the marketing department launching new brands. He is currently a manager in the Policy/Legal Department. He is also president and general manager of Noble Properties of Cincinnati Inc.
Randy has served on many regional, state and national school board organizations.
He was elected to the Ohio School Board Southwest region executive board in 2006, served on the state legislative platform and was elected to the state OSBA state board of trustees in 2007. He also serves as the second congressional district representative to the Federal Relations network. Randy was named by the Ohio School Board Association as a Master Board member in 2007. In 2008 he was awarded the OSBA Award of Achievement in recognition of his dedication to self-improvement and service to his association.
Randy and his wife, Susan, have two children - both graduates of Turpin High School.
As a parent and lifelong resident of the Forest Hills School District, Randy served as a volunteer in many Forest Hills organizations including chairing the BandExpo.
Randy is also very active in local politics serving as a precinct executive and ward chair as well as many other aspects of the community including his church and the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce.
