Forest T. Heis is the newest member of the Forest Hills Board of Education. He was elected in 2009 and officially seated Jan. 11, 2010. He and his wife, Aimee, have four young children, one of which is school-age and attending Wilson.
Like his children, Dr. Heis also attended Forest Hills Schools having attended Wilson Elementary School and graduated as co-valedictorian from Turpin High School. Dr. Heis is currently Chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Elizabeth/St. Luke Hospitals. His educational highlights include: Duke University Orthopaedic Surgery Residency, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Stanford University Graduate with Distinction.
As a Board member his long-term priorities include:
- Provide excellent educational opportunities for children while remaining fiscally sound;
- Facilitating Board interaction to established reasoned goals, then accomplish them.
