Food Service
The food service department prepares and serves meals from the district’s nine school buildings. About 3,000 meals are served daily. Over the next few years the food service department will be undergoing some changes as it adjusts to follow the federally mandated Wellness Plan. Although the district has always worked to provide good, nutritious meals that students will enjoy – the new guidelines place an even greater emphasis on nutritious and healthful meals.
To encourage the students at the elementary level to eat a more healthful variety of foods, self-serve lines have been installed in all six of the elementary
